After 10 minutes, Prospero Olivar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santi Fc and the Deportivo Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. The score was now 2-0. In the 31st minute Tadeo Reno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnulfo Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Santi Fc's goalkeeper Arnulfo Sarracino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Ereinotz. When Israel Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Santi Fc fans jumped to their feet. Prospero Olivar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Domenec. Deportivo Azul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eustaquio Valerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the game, Santi Fc's Israel Martinez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Domenec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeo Reno made a kick off. If Dionisio Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute of the match Prospero Olivar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Domenec skillfully saved the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Deportivo Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Martinez came free, but Rolando Domenec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnulfo Sarracino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Reno in the 74th minute of play. Hermengildo Ereinotz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Santxol got free with Rolando Domenec in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 98th minute Israel Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
