After some careless play in the El Rejunte F.C defense, Cleto Bernad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Aritza. The El Rejunte F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Aritza should have stopped the shot. In the 7thth minute of the game Cristobal Bladi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Azul's Humberto Arias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute Cleto Bernad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristobal Bladi in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Arias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Bladi in the 21st minute of play forced Deportivo Azul's goalkeeper Humberto Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristobal Bladi might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Bladi ran back to his position shaking his head. Martin Aritza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Horado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarias Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dario Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of El Rejunte F.C booed when Deportivo Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Azul's zone, Dario Poz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Arias came out of the goal and Dario Poz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, El Rejunte F.C's Cristobal Bladi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Humberto Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cleto Bernad in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Aritza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Aritza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cleto Bernad went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute of the match Jonathan Jaume shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Aritza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Bladi in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Arias saved Deportivo Azul from getting behind. If Cleto Bernad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Guido Horado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Horado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Aritza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Cleto Bernad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Deportivo Azul supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Azul would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
