Tadeo Reno started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, SAN JOSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Harriet came free, but Wiliam dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ermegildo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Domenec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Rumaldo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 25th minute Ermegildo Rumaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Domenec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Azul booed when SAN JOSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filiberto Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wiliam dos Santos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tadeo Reno showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. SAN JOSE FC were furious when Wasyl Smolarek was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Deportivo Azul booed when SAN JOSE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Smolarek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionisio Bartoli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wiliam dos Santos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rolando Domenec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Rumaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Vito Trigo made the kick off in the second half. Wiliam dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Oroitz in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermegildo Rumaldo during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wiliam dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Ereinotz in the 62nd minute of play. If Vito Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Tadeo Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 minutes of play, SAN JOSE FC's Vito Trigo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Domenec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vito Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vito Trigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Domenec having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, SAN JOSE FC's Rolando Tipi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Domenec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wiliam dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Oroitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Bartoli in the 83rd minute of the match. Vito Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rolando Domenec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Azul's goalkeeper Rolando Domenec, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Deportivo Azul got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Reno. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Ermegildo Rumaldo sped through Deportivo Azul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Domenec. The Deportivo Azul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SAN JOSE FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
