Vinicio Florinio might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Arotza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Florinio ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Arotza was a little too slow when Danilo Odon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Severino Fliz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Arotza. Berutti FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Fliz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Fliz got free with Abel Arotza in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Gondra getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Celso Seguinus hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gondra's zone, Florentino Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Naike came out of the goal and Florentino Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goalkeeper Abel Arotza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Fliz. Danilo Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Odon in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Arotza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Severino Fliz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gondra's Danilo Odon was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Vinicio Florinio fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gondra's protests and gave Vinicio Florinio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Vinicio Florinio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florentino Urtsua to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ramon Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Fliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Abel Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danilo Odon came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Gondra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Odon couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gondra booed when Berutti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Chabier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Arotza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Odon in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Berutti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Froila to maneuver through the defense. Gondra's Severino Fliz got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Danilo Odon made a precise shot to the right of Abel Arotza. Berutti FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After having played for 84 minutes, Danilo Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gondra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Odon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Severino Fliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gondra's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Fliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Arotza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Danilo Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Prospero Cordarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abel Arotza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Prospero Cordarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Gondra players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
