The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Santo Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Gonzalo Chago scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lino Chucho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lino Chucho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tobias Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Janpier having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Delmiro Basualdo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naranja Mecanica F.C. and the Menucos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes Naranja Mecanica F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Basualdo. Lino Chucho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Noe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Henrico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carolo Janpier came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Henrico slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 33rd minute. If Tobias Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Tobias Jaunzuria came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Naranja Mecanica F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Jaunzuria couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Pedro Noe put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lino Chucho. In the 48th minute Santo Chaime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Chucho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cristian Henrico made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 63 minutes, Santo Chaime managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menucos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Chaime was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Menucos's Pedro Noe in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Naranja Mecanica F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Henrico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Chucho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Chaime in the 78th minute. Cesar Egoitz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carolo Janpier. Menucos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 92nd minute Cristian Henrico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Jaunzuria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Carolo Janpier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
