The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Baltasar Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pânzariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Pânzariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Eutropio, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the game, La Tata FC's Paulão Sanches nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blas Opilano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Pico van Beek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 18 minutes of play, Deportivo Cristal's Jacobo Eutropio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Pânzariu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Blas Opilano made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Paulão Sanches sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute of the match La Tata FC got a corner. Deportivo Cristal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Prospero Lixandro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Prospero Lixandro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Blas Opilano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Pico van Beek managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Tata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pico van Beek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blas Opilano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulão Sanches struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Blas Opilano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Tata FC. When Paulão Sanches in the 40th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Blas Opilano kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulão Sanches to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulão Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Notis Chronoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Tata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Notis Chronoulis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blas Opilano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulão Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Blas Opilano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Paulão Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltasar Ramos got free with David Pânzariu in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When La Tata FC's Paulão Sanches in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Cristal's goalie prevented a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Paulão Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blas Opilano. Deportivo Cristal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulão Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Blas Opilano came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by La Tata FC's Paulão Sanches. But to his dismay, Paulão Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After some careless play in the Deportivo Cristal defense, Julian Javiero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blas Opilano. The Deportivo Cristal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blas Opilano should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, La Tata FC's David Pânzariu got control of the ball when Baltasar Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Paulão Sanches cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Blas Opilano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Pânzariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Ihintza in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Deportivo Cristal getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Maximo Ihintza hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Paulão Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blas Opilano was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. There was no doubt that La Tata FC were the better team. La Tata FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
