Mercedes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Gauchos de Boedo the free kick. In the 10th minute, Norberto Argi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Ambrosio Vimaro managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Los Gauchos de Boedo's Narciso Rayman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mercedes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Norberto Argi scored to the left of an out of position Ambrosio Vimaro, making the score, 1-0. Norberto Argi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mercedes's Ambrosio Vimaro got control of the ball when Narciso Rayman tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Norberto Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrosio Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Argi in the 36th minute of play. Los Gauchos de Boedo's Norberto Argi got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narciso Rayman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Vimaro having to interfere. Ambrosio Vimaro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Ambrosio Vimaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norberto Argi went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Norberto Argi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrosio Vimaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Argi in the 57th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Mercedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Lertxun to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Isaio in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ambrosio Vimaro saved Mercedes from getting behind. Los Gauchos de Boedo were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after Mercedes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anselmo Gurutz took the corner. After having played for 70 minutes, Norberto Argi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Gauchos de Boedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Argi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Argi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrosio Vimaro having to interfere. When Norberto Argi came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Los Gauchos de Boedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Argi couldn't finish the play. Ambrosio Vimaro came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gauchos de Boedo's Norberto Argi. But to his dismay, Norberto Argi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. If Norberto Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrosio Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Argi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
