Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) PAPA FC's Geronimo Rainerio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. PAPA FC's Guaberto Vermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Polo in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Polo in the 8th minute of play forced PAPA FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes PAPA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquilino Neto who took care of the corner kick. Aquilino Neto made a great header on Independiente's corner, it was just that PAPA FC's Guaberto Vermudo managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Polo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Vermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Independiente's Benigno Polo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aquilino Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Vermudo having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Geronimo Rainerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PAPA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Rainerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godofredo Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Herminio Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Benigno Polo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Polo couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benigno Polo to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Geronimo Rainerio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Herminio Admon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 57 played minutes PAPA FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Millano. Aquilino Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Vermudo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. If Benigno Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guaberto Vermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Polo in the 62nd minute of play. Guaberto Vermudo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benigno Polo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Benigno Polo struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Guaberto Vermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. After some careless play in the PAPA FC defense, Benigno Polo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Vermudo. The PAPA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Vermudo should have stopped the shot. If Benigno Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75thth minute of the game Aquilino Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PAPA FC's Guaberto Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute, Cecilio Munio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Herminio Admon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Herminio Admon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Napier. In the 91st minute Benigno Polo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Rainerio came free, but Herminio Admon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Timo. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Godofredo Napier got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
