Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Benigno Polo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alejo Txilar was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Nereo Ubarna managed to get in a good position for a shot. ZionTeam's supporters rose to their feet, but Nereo Ubarna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Admon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nereo Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Polo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Txilar saved ZionTeam from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Benigno Polo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alejo Txilar. After a defensive mix-up in ZionTeam's zone, Benigno Polo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Txilar came out of the goal and Benigno Polo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ZionTeam's Alejo Txilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Polo in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, ZionTeam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Daunte to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Nereo Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Admon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Leandro Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZionTeam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente the free kick. After a rather tough play, ZionTeam's Leandro Mendebal got a free kick in the 27th minute. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Benigno Polo sped through ZionTeam's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alejo Txilar. In the 35th minute Nereo Ubarna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Admon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Cecilio Munio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benigno Polo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ZionTeam's Anacleto Ixidor got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquilino Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alejo Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 55thth minute of the game Benigno Polo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ZionTeam's Alejo Txilar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Independiente's Benigno Polo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ZionTeam's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Gustavo Timo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Timo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Polo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Alejo Txilar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Aquilino Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Polo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Txilar saved ZionTeam from getting behind. 3-1 became the score in the 69th minute when Benigno Polo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Benigno Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Txilar having to interfere. Aquilino Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejo Txilar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquilino Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Polo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alejo Txilar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aquilino Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Independiente's Benigno Polo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aquilino Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
