In the 4th match minute, PAPA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, PAPA FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Vermudo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apolo Feliu. Apolo Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Leonardo Sancho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AMÉRICA SUR and the PAPA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, PAPA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Abancens to maneuver through the defense. When Apolo Feliu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the AMÉRICA SUR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Feliu couldn't finish the play. PAPA FC's Guaberto Vermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Gartzea in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Siro Olayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PAPA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AMÉRICA SUR the free kick. After a rather tough play, PAPA FC's Siro Olayo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Apolo Feliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Guaberto Vermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Godofredo Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Prejun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geronimo Rainerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gogo Prejun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Gartzea to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in PAPA FC's zone, Leonardo Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Vermudo came out of the goal and Leonardo Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AMÉRICA SUR's Apolo Feliu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AMÉRICA SUR's Leonardo Sancho got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Leonardo Sancho off the ground. A collision led to AMÉRICA SUR getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Leonardo Sancho hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, AMÉRICA SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Rainerio came free, but Gogo Prejun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The long shot by Venancio Millano in the 82nd minute really tested Gogo Prejun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Godofredo Napier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PAPA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Napier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Geronimo Rainerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. PAPA FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
