Placido Austin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeronimo Roderigo scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anastasio Chus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Roderigo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anastasio Chus. juiiiiiraa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeronimo Roderigo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Placido Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Anastasio Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Jeronimo Roderigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Chus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes juiiiiiraa got a freekick which was hit by Artemio Gines. 24 minutes into the match, juiiiiiraa's Artemio Gines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartolo Columbo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Artemio Gines fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bartolo Columbo, passed just outside the right post. If Artemio Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Gines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Gines got free with Bartolo Columbo in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Artemio Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Gines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaime Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bartolo Columbo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Artemio Gines kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bartolo Columbo. That made the score 1-2 in the 48 minute of play. After the first half Manzano were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Abeitia to make the kick off. Anastasio Chus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Austin in the 55th minute. Severino Florinio charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severino Florinio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, one of juiiiiiraa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for juiiiiiraa. The referee gave Manzano a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Melquiades Lluc, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of juiiiiiraa's Anastasio Chus. 1-3. Bartolo Columbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Gines in the 62nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Roberto Intxixu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Chus was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Placido Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Chus having to interfere. Anastasio Chus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Austin in the 80th minute. Bartolo Columbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Severino Florinio kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match Melquiades Lluc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anastasio Chus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Artemio Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Abeitia in the 90th minute of play forced Manzano's goalkeeper Bartolo Columbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Anastasio Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 99th match minute, juiiiiiraa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Oinatz to maneuver through the defense. The Manzano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manzano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
