But to his dismay, Patricio Panpili quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Kusko in the 34th minute of play forced Nahueve FC's goalkeeper Eustacio Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Suero made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Patricio Panpili sent off a good shot on target. Ave Fenix's Silvio Suero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ave Fenix from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, Nahueve FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Naldo to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Tiso's late challenge caught a Nahueve FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Tiso helped the player get up and apologised. Nahueve FC's Teodosio Asier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ave Fenix. Patricio Panpili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Nahueve FC's Eustacio Intxixu got control of the ball when Jonatan Kusko tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Patricio Panpili left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nahueve FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Ave Fenix booed when Nahueve FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Fagondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes, Ave Fenix's Victor Montxo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eustacio Intxixu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ave Fenix reached it. Venancio Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Eustacio Intxixu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Venancio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jonatan Kusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Patricio Panpili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nahueve FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Panpili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nahueve FC had won after a very even match.
