The supporters of Sporting Club FC booed when Nahueve FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Panpili didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Mariano Palban hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Patricio Panpili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. Eustacio Intxixu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rosendo Xabat. If Rene Nazario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Kinsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustacio Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Kinsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Carolo Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Tadeo Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Club FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeo Kinsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carolo Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Intxixu having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 51 minutes of play Nahueve FC's Patricio Panpili was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tadeo Kinsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustacio Intxixu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Eustacio Intxixu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeo Kinsen's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Tadeo Kinsen took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eustacio Intxixu. Eustacio Intxixu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 70 minutes into the game, Cristo Pepillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nahueve FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Club FC the free kick.
