Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ave Fenix's Venancio Faro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Astor Bidari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ave Fenix and the Instituto CBA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Astor Bidari kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Edgard Gomez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Suero having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Venancio Faro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Generoso Bakar to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Edgard Gomez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Instituto CBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Suero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Gomez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Suero having to interfere. Edgard Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvio Suero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Jenaro's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 31st minute, Astor Bidari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonatan Kusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Generoso Bakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venancio Faro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Generoso Bakar came out and tried to block the shot, but Venancio Faro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. Jonatan Kusko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Generoso Bakar having to make a save. In the 41st minute Venancio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Bakar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto CBA's zone, Venancio Faro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Bakar came out of the goal and Venancio Faro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Gomez was the one to do the kick off. Luisito Sol hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute of the match, Aurelio Jenaro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Silvio Suero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 62 minutes, Aurelio Jenaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Instituto CBA and the Ave Fenix players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Venancio Faro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ave Fenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Faro couldn't finish the play. Jonatan Kusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Bakar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Faro in the 70th minute of play forced Instituto CBA's goalkeeper Generoso Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Narciso Tiso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Bakar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Edgard Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venancio Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Generoso Bakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Teodoro Piearres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Jenaros short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Silvio Suero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Instituto CBA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ave Fenix.
