Ave Fenix's Silvio Suero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Bikendi in the 4th minute of play. After 6th play minutes Higinio Bikendi shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Silvio Suero and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonatan Kusko in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Guillelmus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonatan Kusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Venancio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Igarzábal FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Christian Eguerdi hit a great ball. A collision led to Ave Fenix getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Narciso Tiso hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute Jonatan Kusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Bikendi in the 37th minute of play forced Ave Fenix's goalkeeper Silvio Suero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Ostadar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Ostadar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Suero having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Venancio Faro made the kick off in the second half. Jonatan Kusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Guillelmus having to interfere. Venancio Faro struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Romeo Guillelmus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ave Fenix. After 63 played minutes Igarzábal FC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Azevedo. In the 65th minute Venancio Faro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Guillelmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Ostadar came free, but Silvio Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Ostadar in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Suero saved Ave Fenix from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Bikendi came free, but Silvio Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Igarzábal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ave Fenix had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
