Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Benicio Birjaio got the match started through his kick off. Atlético Grüttly's Placido Lehoi got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Eliseo Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monte Grande F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 9th minute of the match Flavio Garcia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cleto Orixe skillfully saved the ball. When Benicio Birjaio came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Monte Grande F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Birjaio couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, Monte Grande F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Garcia to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Monte Grande F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Gutierrez. When Placido Lehoi came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Atlético Grüttly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Lehoi couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Monte Grande F.C's Jorge Abalos got control of the ball when Fabricio Olivar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benicio Birjaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cleto Orixe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Birjaio in the 31st minute of play forced Atlético Grüttly's goalkeeper Cleto Orixe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Orixe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Torres in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Monte Grande F.C getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cipriano Gutierrez hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Benicio Birjaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Grande F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Birjaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute Eliseo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Orixe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Atlético Grüttly's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Torres came free, but Cleto Orixe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Orixe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Cleto Orixe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Birjaio in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Placido Lehoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Atlético Grüttly's goalkeeper Cleto Orixe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Torres. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
