In the 15th minute Efrain Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Silbestre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Efrain Bortzaioriz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Silbestre was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Silbestre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diego Jerardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Nahia during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee gave Fermin Gabirel a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a little luck, Liébana F.C.'s Ariel Silbestre got control of the ball when Diego Jerardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Apolo Ferrer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ariel Silbestre made a huge save. If Efrain Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
