The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carmelo Gutxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Jorge Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liébana F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benicio Birjaio 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Jorge Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Vermudo in the 21st minute of the match. Ramon Jurdan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Monte Grande F.C's Jorge Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Vermudo in the 27th minute of play. Carmelo Gutxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Liébana F.C.'s Donato Vermudo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Monte Grande F.C's Jorge Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Gutxi in the 37th minute of play. If Donato Vermudo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Monte Grande F.C got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Abad. A collision led to Monte Grande F.C getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Godofredo Lander hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Vermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donato Vermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jorge Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmelo Gutxi got free with Jorge Abalos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Monte Grande F.C's Ramon Jurdan got a free kick in the 60th minute. Carmelo Gutxi came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jorge Abalos could save by the left post. In the 65th minute, Ramon Jurdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes, Monte Grande F.C's Benedicto Umea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Silbestre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monte Grande F.C reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Vermudo in the 72nd minute of play forced Monte Grande F.C's goalkeeper Jorge Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liébana F.C.'s Ariel Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Abad in the 74th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Monte Grande F.C's Benicio Birjaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Silbestre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Liébana F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Americo Giraldo hit a great ball. Benicio Birjaio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Carmelo Gutxi came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Liébana F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Gutxi couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Eliseo Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ariel Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Torres in the 91st minute of play. Donato Vermudo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jorge Abalos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benicio Birjaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
