Estudiantes de La Plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Faron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Golpes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de La Plata the free kick. Fernan Ponc kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A long shot from Justo Ugaitz in the 7th minute of play was well struck, but Rodrick Rastad made a really good save at the right post. When Golpes's Amado Rainerio in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Estudiantes de La Plata's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omar Cucao in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isidro Dayam kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Estudiantes de La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Jerico to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Estudiantes de La Plata defense, Omar Cucao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Neto. The Estudiantes de La Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Neto should have stopped the shot. Golpes's Fernan Ponc got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Fernan Ponc off the ground. The supporters of Estudiantes de La Plata booed when Golpes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Cucao hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Faron in the 44th minute of play forced Golpes's goalkeeper Rodrick Rastad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Rainerio in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amado Rainerio was the one to do the kick off. Celestino Perfecto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Cucao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de La Plata from getting a goal against them. 66 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goalkeeper Felix Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Rainerio. Rodrick Rastad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Faron in the 72nd minute of the match. Amado Rainerio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Amado Rainerio took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Neto. Felix Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After having played for 84 minutes, Amado Rainerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golpes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Rainerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Amado Rainerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Golpes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
