Rodrigo Iyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Efraim having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grupo Universitario's goalkeeper Fabio Efraim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabio Efraim came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Galisteo's Angelo Urtun. But to his dismay, Angelo Urtun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fabio Efraim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Iyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Grupo Universitario's Eliseo Dorio in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galisteo's goalie prevented a goal. Rodrigo Iyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Efraim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Urtun, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Rodrigo Iyan fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galisteo's protests and gave Rodrigo Iyan a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Iyan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Grupo Universitario's Fulgencio Ospetsu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseo Dorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Osasun having to interfere. Eliseo Dorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Delmar Osasun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Galisteo got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Cordaryal. The Grupo Universitario players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galisteo were winning 0-1.

When Rodrigo Iyan in the 52nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Fabio Efraim kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After 56 played minutes, Grupo Universitario's Romeo Fonda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delmar Osasun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grupo Universitario reached it. Fabio Efraim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Urtun in the 58th minute of the match. Eliseo Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Dorio in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Osasun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabio Efraim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Urtun in the 66th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Angelo Urtun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Efraim was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Basilio Orlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Ospetsu in the 76th minute of play forced Galisteo's goalkeeper Delmar Osasun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Rodrigo Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galisteo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Iyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sergio Caton fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Galisteo's Angelo Urtun got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grupo Universitario's Fabio Efraim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Urtun in the 87th minute of play. During the 91st minute of the match Sergio Caton completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sergio Caton a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 93rd minute, Eduardo Conrao sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grupo Universitario's Fabio Efraim didn't even have to move. The audience was convinced that Angelo Urtun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Efraim was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Galisteo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grupo Universitario.
