Felix Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Walme in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Godfredo Walme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Felix Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Aparicio getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Cecilio Onbera hit a great ball. Fulgencio Guillelmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Faron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Aparicio booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Ugaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Walme came free, but Felix Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Aparicio booed when Estudiantes de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 41stth minute of the game Miguel Faron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aparicio's Fulgencio Guillelmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Godfredo Walme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Uriel Quico made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Javier Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Garin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Faron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Neto got control of the ball when Godfredo Walme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Estudiantes de La Plata's Felix Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Estudiantes de La Plata from getting a goal against them. Javier Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Guillelmo having to interfere. Miguel Faron scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulgencio Guillelmo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
