In the 20th minute Virgilio Erlantz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Patricio Tauro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Felix Emeterio. Patricio Tauro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Cipolletti getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Serafino Indalecio hit a great ball. Felipe Rocendo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Erlantz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Emeterio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adolfo Derwin. Felix Emeterio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Indartsu in the 32nd minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Amado Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Banda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cipolletti's goalkeeper Felipe Rocendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Banda's Isaias Gelmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the game, Joaquin Gregory was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cipolletti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Banda the free kick. 46 minutes into the match, Cipolletti's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Duardo came free, but Felipe Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Erlantz made a kick off. Anastasio Roldanillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felipe Rocendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Erlantz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Virgilio Erlantz charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Erlantz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored Cipolletti's protests and gave Norberto Indartsu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of La Banda booed when Cipolletti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Indartsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cipolletti's zone, Virgilio Erlantz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Rocendo came out of the goal and Virgilio Erlantz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Benigno Kiliz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 94th minute Virgilio Erlantz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Rocendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Virgilio Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipolletti were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Banda for a fine match.
