Alberdi Jrs.'s Conrado Patxi suffered a fractured collar bone after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ciro Lizardi charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Lizardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alberdi Jrs.'s Valentin Benet was substituted for Conrado Patxi. The supporters of Alberdi Jrs. booed when Inter de Milán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Lizardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inter de Milán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicanor Henry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Reynaldo Lop struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Vinicio Galeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alberdi Jrs.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Rivero in the 72nd minute of play forced Inter de Milán's goalkeeper Vinicio Galeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Ciro Lizardi in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Alberdi Jrs.'s Nicanor Henry. Alberdi Jrs.'s Manuel Aguilera managed to work through Inter de Milán's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Manuel Aguilera dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 83rd match minute, Inter de Milán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Xabel to maneuver through the defense. Vinicio Galeno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Rivero in the 93rd minute. Vinicio Galeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Rivero in the 94th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Inter de Milán's goalkeeper Vinicio Galeno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Lop. The Inter de Milán fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alberdi Jrs. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
