To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pascual Unai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvano Lando hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Anselmo Gaspard came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pera de Goma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Gaspard couldn't finish the play. In the 27thth minute of the game Anselmo Gaspard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ramones's Pascual Unai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Pera de Goma's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Bonifaco came free, but Ovidio Eleder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Anselmo Gaspard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pera de Goma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Gaspard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramones's Pascual Unai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ramones from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Anselmo Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Unai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Gaspard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Pascual Unai when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Anselmo Gaspard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pera de Goma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Gaspard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Gaspard in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascual Unai saved Ramones from getting behind. Santos Bihar's late challenge caught a Pera de Goma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Rito ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Anselmo Gaspard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pascual Unai was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
