Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 10) Saavedra's Prospero Frederico started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Lizer during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes, Saavedra's Prospero Urtungo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicanor Caitano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saavedra reached it. 11 minutes into the match, Casaca Albiceleste's goalkeeper Nicanor Caitano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavino Firme. Narciso Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anacleto Deunoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Saavedra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Reyes to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Caitano was a little too slow when Prospero Frederico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-1. The score was now 3-1. 40 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Sansone came free, but Anacleto Deunoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Firme might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicanor Caitano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gavino Firme ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Saavedra's zone, Candido Sansone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Deunoro came out of the goal and Candido Sansone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute Narciso Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Deunoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Candido Sansone was the one to do the kick off. Nicanor Caitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Firme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Deunoro having to interfere. After having played for 55 minutes, Gavino Firme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saavedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavino Firme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prospero Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicanor Caitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Firme, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Prospero Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Saavedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Frederico couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Saavedra booed when Casaca Albiceleste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Casaca Albiceleste's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Frederico came free, but Nicanor Caitano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Firme in the 82nd minute of play forced Casaca Albiceleste's goalkeeper Nicanor Caitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Saavedra's Anacleto Deunoro got control of the ball when Narciso Franco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bartolo Erdiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Etxahun kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Saavedra's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
