Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arturo Corderall started the match with the kick off. Arturo Corderall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Atilano Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rawson's Eusebio Rosalio got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Huly came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Rawson's Simon Mercurio. But to his dismay, Simon Mercurio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Albino Oier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Atilano Acevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Albino Oier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albino Oier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Capillas getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marcos Gergori hit a great ball. Simon Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Presebal hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Arturo Corderall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Acevedo having to interfere. Rawson's Atilano Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Corderall in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Bernabel during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rawson booed when Capillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Bernabel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Ulises Aguilera shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teofilo Huly showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rene Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Capillas's zone, Simon Mercurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Huly came out of the goal and Simon Mercurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Corderall in the 53rd minute of play forced Rawson's goalkeeper Atilano Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atilano Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Capillas got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Corderall. Gonzalo Qwinton's late challenge caught a Rawson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Qwinton helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Capillas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gonzalo Qwinton hit a great ball. If Simon Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Arturo Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Capillas's Albino Oier got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arturo Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rawson had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
