The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Arturo Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Cirilo Cibran dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teofilo Huly, 1-1. In the 18th minute, Capillas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvio Raphael fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Patricios Futbol Club's Cirilo Cibran got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cirilo Cibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Nerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Corderall in the 30th minute of play. Patricios Futbol Club's Iker Nerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Oier in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Abel Dorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cirilo Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Huly having to interfere. Elvio Raphael hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Patricios Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Corderall came free, but Iker Nerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Patricios Futbol Club getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Abel Dorio hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arturo Corderall to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Arturo Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Corderall in the 56th minute of play forced Patricios Futbol Club's goalkeeper Iker Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Patricios Futbol Club were awarded a corner. Fulgencio Gaspard went to the cornerflag to take it. Fulgencio Gaspard made a great header on Patricios Futbol Club's corner, it was just that Capillas's Teofilo Huly managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Capillas's Vinicio Gonchan got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Cirilo Cibran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patricios Futbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Capillas's Albino Oier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iker Nerio. That made the score 3-2 after 70 minutes of play. If Fulgencio Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Gaspard lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Patricios Futbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capillas:s goal. The goalkeeper, Iker Nerio, was totally fooled by Capillas's Melquiades Argenis, who 84 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Teofilo Huly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Cibran in the 89th minute of the match. Daniel Piorno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Huly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
