Spectators: 7080 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Evaristo Donzel started the match with the kick off. Damaso Gizon kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Oscar Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Viator's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Oscar Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Elorri made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Tobias Sandaili sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, one of Olavarría:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olavarría. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Quemapasto FC's Guaberto Milian got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oscar Elorri. If Fulgencio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Elorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Viator in the 20th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Olavarría got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Pepillo. After having played for 22 minutes, Tobias Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quemapasto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Sandaili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romeo Lluc's late challenge caught a Quemapasto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Lluc helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Fulgencio Viator got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Donzel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Dantas having to interfere. The supporters of Quemapasto FC booed when Olavarría was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastián Coria during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quemapasto FC:s Edinho Dantas showed great skill when he stopped Pastor Artizar:s penalty. Olavarría's Oscar Elorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Sandaili in the 42nd minute of play. Fulgencio Viator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Elorri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Evaristo Donzel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quemapasto FC's Edinho Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Viator to make the kick off. Fulgencio Viator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fulgencio Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oscar Elorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute Fulgencio Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Elorri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Olavarría's zone, Fulgencio Viator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Elorri came out of the goal and Fulgencio Viator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd match minute, Quemapasto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Evaristo Donzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Lope came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edinho Dantas could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Donzel in the 79th minute of play forced Quemapasto FC's goalkeeper Edinho Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Quemapasto FC booed when Olavarría was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Lluc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobias Sandaili struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Oscar Elorri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quemapasto FC. Olavarría's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
