Laureano Eyague's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Roderigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvio Abeita during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 42nd match minute, Sébila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Abar to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Oscar Guifre's late challenge caught a Argentino del Sur FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Guifre helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Argentino del Sur FC booed when Sébila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Guifre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Luix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Abaurre in the 58th minute of play. Celso Silbestre took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anier Luix. Anier Luix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Anier Luix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Abaurre in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Silvio Abeita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anier Luix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Silbestre in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Oscar Abaurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Luix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Abaurre in the 84th minute of play forced Sébila's goalkeeper Anier Luix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Celso Silbestre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Celso Silbestre came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Argentino del Sur FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Silbestre couldn't finish the play. Oscar Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Luix having to interfere.
