After 3 minutes, Evelio Ezkerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calchaquí F.C. and the Lima players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evelio Ezkerra hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Damian Inocente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Sansone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Inocente's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Calchaquí F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Bortzaioriz. Damian Inocente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Sansone having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Cordeara in the 29th minute of play forced Lima's goalkeeper Fernando Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lima's zone, Guido Cordeara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Eyague came out of the goal and Guido Cordeara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guido Cordeara charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Cordeara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Calchaquí F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Cordeara to maneuver through the defense. Damian Inocente struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Martin Sansone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lima. A collision led to Calchaquí F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lucio Belo hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Evelio Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Marin in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Constantino Cordarin to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Calchaquí F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Sansone had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Inocente. Damian Inocente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Martin Sansone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Constantino Cordarin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Cordarin couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí F.C.'s Modesto Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Damian Inocente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Sansone made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Damian Inocente sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Marin in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Marin in the 76th minute of play forced Lima's goalkeeper Fernando Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damian Inocente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Martin Sansone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Calchaquí F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Cordarin came free, but Martin Sansone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guido Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucio Marin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Eyague having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Cordeara in the 88th minute of play forced Lima's goalkeeper Fernando Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lima's Fernando Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Marin in the 90th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Constantino Cordarin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martin Sansone, 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lima players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Calchaquí F.C..
