After having played for 44 minutes, Clodoveo Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Eutropio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Clodoveo Eutropio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Enekoitz to make the kick off. When Feliciano Beturian came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Los Sin Dientes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Beturian couldn't finish the play. A collision led to El Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Romeo Mambru hit a great ball. Feliciano Beturian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Donzel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Los Sin Dientes's zone, Eduardo Enekoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Santana came out of the goal and Eduardo Enekoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Eutropio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Santo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Boca Juniors. The Los Sin Dientes fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Boca Juniors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
