When Santos Bermund came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Capillitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Bermund couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Epifanio Gaspard made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Epifanio Gaspard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capillitas's Jorge Chumo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arrutó's Leo Kinsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Arrutó from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Ihazintu got free with Leo Kinsen in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Santos Bermund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Kinsen was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Humberto Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arrutó's Leo Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Bermund in the 78th minute of play. The referee ignored Arrutó's protests and gave Benito Lauro a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arrutó had won after a very even match.
