Spectators: 7213 (Terracing: 5411, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cleto Gaztea took the kick off in the first half of the match. Bernardino Huly's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cornelio Noe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cleto Gaztea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Guido Eleazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Anibal Peter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Guido Eleazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvestre Maju was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anibal Peter in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvestre Maju saved Resistencia FC from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Resistencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Eleazar came free, but Silvestre Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Jaume during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Naranjito FC booed when Resistencia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Efren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Resistencia FC's Silvestre Maju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Eleazar in the 38th minute of play. Bernardino Huly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guido Eleazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Maju having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Eleazar to make the kick off. Anibal Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Silvestre Maju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Eleazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Cleto Gaztea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Resistencia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Naranjito FC booed when Resistencia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Mendiko didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Huly in the 81st minute of play forced Naranjito FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Noe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernardino Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justo Efren hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Resistencia FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
