Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eugenio Mergildo made the kick off and thus started the match. Eugenio Mergildo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomás Rivero having to make a save. After some careless play in the La Cobra defense, Clemente Urtsua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Rivero. The La Cobra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Rivero should have stopped the shot. In the 6th minute Eugenio Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Rivero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Urtsua in the 10th minute. Mauro Chabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pastor Santxol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Eugenio Mergildo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borrinchas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cobra the free kick. The supporters of La Cobra booed when Borrinchas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Mergildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abelardo Celipe came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the La Cobra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Celipe couldn't finish the play. If Eugenio Mergildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Celipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Esteban Beti hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a little luck, La Cobra's Tomás Rivero got control of the ball when Clemente Urtsua tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Borrinchas's Tomás Rivero threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anacleto Eladio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomás Rivero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Urtsua in the 33rd minute. Esteban Beti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pastor Santxol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Beti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Santxol having to interfere. After some careless play in the Borrinchas defense, Esteban Beti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Santxol. The Borrinchas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Santxol should have stopped the shot. When Albano Iraitz fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Cobra's protests and gave Albano Iraitz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, La Cobra's Albano Iraitz got a free kick in the 41st minute. A hard shot 43 in the game by Clemente Urtsua from a close distance when the talented Tomás Rivero managed to make a qualified save. La Cobra's players were relieved. Tomás Rivero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Berto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Beti to make the kick off. Silverio Gonza hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. A collision led to Borrinchas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Victor Berto hit a great ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borrinchas's goalkeeper Pastor Santxol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pastor Santxol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Celipe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteban Beti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pastor Santxol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, La Cobra's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Urtsua came free, but Tomás Rivero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Beti might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Santxol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteban Beti ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Eugenio Mergildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borrinchas's Pastor Santxol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Borrinchas from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Mergildo in the 75th minute of play forced La Cobra's goalkeeper Tomás Rivero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Esteban Beti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pastor Santxol was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After having played for 85 minutes, Jose Vasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cobra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Vasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Albano Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, Borrinchas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Mergildo to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Tiburcio Mannuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Cobra's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
