The supporters of Pampita AFC booed when Borrinchas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Eladio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ariel Cordaryal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pastor Santxol was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Rene Orland charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Orland the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Rene Orland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes Pampita AFC got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Urbes. Anacleto Eladio was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Pastor Santxol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nereo Arnalt in the 77th minute. Ariel Cordaryal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nereo Arnalt might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Santxol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Arnalt ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ariel Cordaryal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pampita AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Borrinchas had won, even though Pampita AFC had held more of the ball.
