The referee ignored Resistencia FC's protests and gave Justo Efren a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Resistencia FC's zone, Prudencio Milio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvestre Maju came out of the goal and Prudencio Milio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardino Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Grabiel having to interfere. C.A. Victoriano Arenas's Eugenio Grabiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Gaztea in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Gaztea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The C.A. Victoriano Arenas fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when C.A. Victoriano Arenas's Prudencio Milio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Silvestre Maju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Milio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Victoriano Arenas from getting a goal against them. If Marcelino Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Resistencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Milio came free, but Silvestre Maju reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 minutes of play, C.A. Victoriano Arenas's Prudencio Milio made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvestre Maju was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cleto Gaztea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eugenio Grabiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelino Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Maju having to interfere.
