Romeo Deunoro's late challenge caught a Viva Peron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Deunoro helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Imperial Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Deunoro. If Victoriano Benitez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Rosendo Fidensio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imperial Warriors and the Viva Peron players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Imperial Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Fidensio to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Rios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Casado's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Imperial Warriors's Rafael Celio got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Victoriano Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Imperial Warriors's Antonio Guter got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Sarracino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Viva Peron's Guido Gauargi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Rios made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rafael Celio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Viva Peron's Leonardo Casado got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Imperial Warriors's Igor Pelayo got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Imperial Warriors's zone, Victoriano Benitez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Rios came out of the goal and Victoriano Benitez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Casado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Rios read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The Viva Peron players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
