After 7 minutes, Silvano Bixintxo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juancru FC and the Millonarios players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Juancru FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Millonarios:s goal. Mauricio Nafarroa walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Salvador Lorencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Leoiar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Ciro Orlandus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Anastasio Evarado made a huge save. In the 25th match minute, Millonarios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Nafarroa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Salvador Lorencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juancru FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Lorencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Evarado having to interfere. Oscar Ursino hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Silvano Hitzeder hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Millonarios's Mauricio Nafarroa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Juancru FC. Mauricio Nafarroa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Lertxun. Juancru FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Jonatan Unai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Anastasio Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Hitzeder in the 52nd minute of play. After 54th play minutes Ciro Orlandus shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Anastasio Evarado and just under the crossbar into goal. When Adolfo Iyan came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Millonarios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Iyan couldn't finish the play. Cristian Teodor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Lertxun having to make a save.
