It was a well-played corner which Filomeno Markel managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 10 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Markel. If Cristian Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Club Atletico River Plate's Silvestre Marko made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasio Evarado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonides Peruanton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Adolfo Iyan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot by Mauricio Nafarroa from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Timotheus Kündgen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 37 minutes, Cristian Teodor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millonarios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Teodor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Club Atletico River Plate's Silvestre Marko in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nicanor Veremundo's late challenge caught a Millonarios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Veremundo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Nicanor Veremundo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anastasio Evarado. The goal made the score 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Veremundo in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Evarado saved Millonarios from getting behind. When Silvestre Marko came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Club Atletico River Plate fans jumped to their feet. Club Atletico River Plate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
