In the 19th minute Salvador Lorencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristides Henry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Ursino hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes, Dorrego's Constantino Domeka shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daniel Lertxun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dorrego reached it. After 24 played minutes Juancru FC got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Cerilo. If Teofilo Mendiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvano Hitzeder hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, Guaberto Jakue cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daniel Lertxun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Juancru FC's Aristides Henry threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Salvador Lorencio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Guaberto Jakue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Lertxun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Mendiko in the 35th minute of play forced Juancru FC's goalkeeper Daniel Lertxun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Lertxun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Jakue in the 37th minute of play. Daniel Lertxun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Dorrego booed when Juancru FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Hitzeder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Lorencio to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Lertxun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Mendiko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Jakue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Lertxun having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Juancru FC's zone, Guaberto Jakue stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Lertxun came out of the goal and Guaberto Jakue tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Dorrego's Teofilo Mendiko dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Daniel Lertxun made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Guaberto Jakue sent off a good shot on target. Silvano Hitzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Daniel Lertxun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teofilo Mendiko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 89 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Guaberto Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dorrego's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Jakue was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Lertxun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Juancru FC's goalkeeper Daniel Lertxun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Jakue.
