Mecanica Destructora's Bernabe Gonsalvo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Astudillo in the 14th minute of play. Aquiles Astudillo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernabe Gonsalvo. Bernabe Gonsalvo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tiburcio Elija charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiburcio Elija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Sp. Mecanica Destructora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiburcio Elija to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sp. Mecanica Destructora getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tiburcio Elija hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Astudillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernabe Gonsalvo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Hector Valery kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Aquilino Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquiles Astudillo to make the kick off. In the 94th minute, Lino Nuno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sp. Mecanica Destructora fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LAGUNEROS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
