The Nikizanga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeo Filipo should have stopped the shot. Benicio Macario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tadeo Filipo having to make a save. Hermengildo Peyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 played minutes La Tenes Adentro FC got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Arotza. Tadeo Filipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Macario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mario Vimaro fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Tenes Adentro FC's protests and gave Mario Vimaro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Mario Vimaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Hermengildo Peyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidro Pacho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benicio Macario stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Nikizanga FC's Tadeo Filipo got control of the ball when Hermengildo Peyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Nikizanga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Montrell to maneuver through the defense. Benicio Macario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Filipo having to interfere. Osvaldo Loreto kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nikizanga FC's Tadeo Filipo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Nikizanga FC from getting a goal against them. Colon Ré charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colon Ré the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilio Sidoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colon Ré, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, Nikizanga FC could leave the field as winners, despite La Tenes Adentro FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
