Spectators: 6653 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Domingo Oliverios started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The nice shot from Ladislao Porfiro in the 4thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Octavio Distiratsu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Oliverios in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixto Salvadore saved Herlitzka from getting behind. Albino Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Distiratsu having to interfere. Albino Soter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lorenzo Gagriel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Arnaldo Bittor's late challenge caught a Herlitzka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Bittor helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Herlitzka booed when Atletico Varela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Bittor didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Ladislao Porfiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Octavio Distiratsu to make any attempt to save it. In the 27th minute Gustavo Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixto Salvadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Salvadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Oliverios in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Atletico Varela's Domingo Oliverios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Salvadore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Gustavo Fagondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Herlitzka players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atletico Varela were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Soter to make the kick off. If Gustavo Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ladislao Porfiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herlitzka's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Porfiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Distiratsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Albino Soter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavio Distiratsu. Atletico Varela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Soter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Gustavo Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sixto Salvadore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Gagriel hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Gustavo Fagondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Fagondo got free with Sixto Salvadore in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sixto Salvadore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Oliverios in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Atletico Varela getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Baldomiro Uhin hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Albino Soter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herlitzka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Soter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herlitzka's Sixto Salvadore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Herlitzka from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the match, Atletico Varela's Domingo Oliverios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Salvadore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Domingo Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Varela's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Oliverios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sixto Salvadore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atletico Varela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
