Juan Rayman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Efraim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Rayman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Efraim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Juan Rayman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Rayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Enekoitz in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Banfield defense, Gogo Enekoitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Rayman. The Club Atlético Banfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Rayman should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Justino Ramirez kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Jonathan Maties showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Cordaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Gogo Enekoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético Banfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simogasta FC the free kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Teobaldo Efraim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Banfield's Juan Rayman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elvio Weather struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Juan Rayman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simogasta FC. Remigio Havier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Maties having to make a save. In the 95th minute Baldomero Cordaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Maties saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Maties showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Club Atlético Banfield fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Simogasta FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
