Igor Uhin charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Uhin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Prospero Refugio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Rayman came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Refugio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Placido Argenis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Cordaro in the 19th minute of the match. Santos Veremundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Rayman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Club Atlético Banfield got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Evis. Club Atlético Banfield's Juan Rayman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Banfield from getting a goal against them. Prospero Refugio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Rayman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Refugio came free, but Juan Rayman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Prospero Refugio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Transporte Legui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Refugio couldn't finish the play. Remigio Havier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Placido Argenis having to make a save. Baldomero Cordaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Placido Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remigio Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Uhin got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Igor Uhin hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 43 minutes Transporte Legui's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rosendo Evis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rosendo Evis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Placido Argenis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Cordaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Anier Gomesano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Transporte Legui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Banfield the free kick. In the 62nd match minute, Transporte Legui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Theobald to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigio Havier got free with Placido Argenis in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Banfield's Fabian Perez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Club Atlético Banfield's Juan Rayman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Veremundo in the 67th minute of play. In the last second Placido Argenis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Baldomero Cordaro in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Gerardo Llorian hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Baldomero Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Cordaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Argenis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 83 minutes, Remigio Havier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Banfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Havier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prospero Refugio hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Veremundo came free, but Juan Rayman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atlético Banfield walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
