Folmar Knipping was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Pacifico to make the kick off. When Evelio Constancio fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A. River Plate's protests and gave Evelio Constancio a yellow card for diving instead. Evelio Constancio kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match.
