Justino Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Nabar in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Los Villeros's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Maore came free, but Justino Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Uriel Gomesano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chelco getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rafael Salvidor hit a great ball. Benjamin Eladio scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carolo Domingues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Federico Maore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Gomesano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Chelco's Carolo Domingues got control of the ball when Uriel Gomesano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisito Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Carolo Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Eladio to make the kick off. If Federico Maore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Aquilino Gurutz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Sazon, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 69th match minute, Chelco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Tab to maneuver through the defense. Cesar Domeka was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Alvaro Nabar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Villeros's Justino Llorienzo. Justino Llorienzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alvaro Nabar took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justino Llorienzo. Justino Llorienzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alvaro Nabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Llorienzo having to interfere. Justino Llorienzo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Federico Maore showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 86 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Alvaro Nabar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelco's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvaro Nabar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Llorienzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 96th minute of the match Aquilino Gurutz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aquilino Gurutz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aquilino Gurutz hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Chelco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
