The Atletico Ruta 11 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Jerardo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Matei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Cortez in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Matei saved Atletico Ruta 11 from getting behind. After 17 minutes, Herminio Cortez made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Atletico Ruta 11's Emiliano Matei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ernesto Dalmai fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Ruta 11's protests and gave Ernesto Dalmai a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atletico Ruta 11's Ernesto Dalmai got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Severiano Jerardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emiliano Matei having to make a save. If Herminio Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, David Romildo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Ruta 11's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buchanan the free kick. David Romildo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Severiano Jerardo sped through Atletico Ruta 11's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emiliano Matei. Severiano Jerardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Matei having to interfere. Buchanan's Casimiro Neron suffered a concussion after 41 minutes and had to leave the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Jerardo in the 45th minute of play forced Atletico Ruta 11's goalkeeper Emiliano Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliberto Martxelin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Prospero Cruz made a huge save. After the first half Buchanan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Herminio Cortez's late challenge caught a Atletico Ruta 11's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herminio Cortez helped the player get up and apologised. Herminio Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Severiano Jerardo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Buchanan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severiano Jerardo couldn't finish the play. Severiano Jerardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes in the game, Severiano Jerardo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emiliano Matei having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Severiano Jerardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emiliano Matei. Severiano Jerardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Severiano Jerardo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Emiliano Matei skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Severiano Jerardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severiano Jerardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prospero Cruz came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Ruta 11's Feliberto Martxelin. But to his dismay, Feliberto Martxelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the match was over Buchanan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico Ruta 11 throughout the match.
