Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chamical the free kick. The supporters of Chamical booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Cresencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Timo was a little too slow when Gilberto Nofre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Fermin Timo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimiro Fonda went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Lluciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Chamical fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
