Prospero Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Lluciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Igor Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herminio Cortez to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Club. Fermin Timo went to the wrong direction when Angelino Barea was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Severiano Jerardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Fermin Timo made a huge save. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buchanan's goalkeeper Prospero Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Buchanan players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Racing Club from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
